By the time infants open their eyes, they see nothing but blurry colors of black and white. Thanks for mom’s endless caresses that these tiny angels see a very colourful life despite of almost no colors at all. Good thing, too, that came a few months more and they see reds. Count for more sleepless nights of lullabies and you see them enjoying everything that surrounds them.
Because babies start with almost no colors at all but some shades of black and white that is blurred just as mentioned, they began to feel excited to discover many colors around them a few months from birth. Unlike adults who are used to these in a life long enough to dismiss the beauty of colors around them —their different shades and hues and the by-products that were formed out of them—they are not anymore something that can make life bright amid the ugly situations that people face day to day. But as for babies who were almost incapable of sight after birth, colors are the reasons as to why for them life is a miracle.
Because of varying colors of objects, babies then begin recognizing shapes and sizes. Just imagine looking at things and all you see is either dark or light and which lines and curves are not vivid at all! This explains why many children get fascinated with arts. And it is not because society imposes them to learn or moms encourage them to do so. But the kids themselves want art very badly which means to create an artist at home, better yet start it while the potential talent is young and while the budding star is eager, passionate, and excited for arts. More than exposing to words, children are exposed yet to colors. This is part of being a kid. Colors lure the infants to smile, to laugh, to stay awake, and be entertained. As they grow to being a toddler, they start identifying colors and more so, they come up with something out of them.
Ask the master artists of today whose lives revolve around creating wall paintings and from their background one will realize that their profile as an artist boils down to childhood– so passionate for colors and shapes and any object that their eyes can locate!
