Sikat na namn ang Pinoy matapos itinanghal na billiard player of the year si Efren Bata Reyes ng United States Billiard Media Association (USBMA). Si Bata ay pinangalanang “The Magician” Sikat Ang Pinoy pagdating sa billiard dahil sa mga parangal na iginagawad sa mga cue master ng Pilipinas.

Tinalo ni bata ang ilan sa mga bigating pangalan sa billiard na sina dating world pool champions ng USA, Mika “The Iceman” Immonen ng Finland, Johnny “The Scorpion” Archer at Ralf “Kaiser” Souquet ng Germany.

Dati ng tinanghal ang sikat na Pinoy na Efren Bata Reyes ng Hall of Famer ng 2003 ng Billiard Congress of America (BCA). Nakakuha ang ating Pinoy biliard hall of fame ng humigit kumulang sa $1.7 million na prize money at $47,500 na prize na napanalunan din sa Indiana sa 12th Annual Derby City Classic para sa Master of the Table.

Isa si Efren Bata Reyes sa Sikat Ang Pinoy na nagbibigay karangalan sa ating bansa. Mabuhay ka Efren Bata Reyes.
